Police seize 20 cannabis plants in Penyrheol raid

News | Richard Gurner | Published: 17:00, Friday July 13th, 2012.

Police officers seized about 20 cannabis plants during a drugs raid in Penyrheol.

Ten officers uncovered the cannabis farm when they executed a warrant at an address in Heol Aneurin following calls from concerned members of the public.

The raid took place at 5pm on Thursday July 5.

A Gwent Police spokeswoman said: “A 32-year-old man was arrested and charged with the Production of a Class B drug. He will appear in Caerphilly Magistrates’ Court on July 23 2012.”

Due to prohibition, cheap growing equipment and a few seeds from friends, or ordered over the internet, it's now possible to grow a million quid in just 12 weeks. Why are we wasting our precious resources on a futile attempt at trying to prevent the impossible? Who gains? Everywhere I go I come across people discussing their latest growing techniques or swapping recipes for pest control. I've been shown more indoor gardens than holiday photos. Why are we all buying into this farce? End the madness; legalise and regulate!

Much sense in what the previous piece says.

Hopefully all those indoor gardeners are paying for their utilities…
