Caerphilly County Borough’s 19,600 tax credit claimants have until July 31 to renew their claims, HM Revenue and Customs has warned.
HMRC has issued a reminder to claiments that if they do not renew their claims in time, payments could stop.
Alison McDonald, director of benefits and credits at HMRC, said: “Claimants only have a few days left to renew their tax credits. If they don’t do it in time, payments will stop, and people could lose all the money they have received since April.
“They also need to check their details in their renewal packs carefully as any errors now could mean they receive less money.”
