Aber Valley Summer Scheme 2012 opening next week

Youngsters aged between 11 and 16 can sign up to Aber Valley’s Summer Scheme being held next week.

The scheme, organised by Senghenydd Youth Drop In Centre (SYDIC), is being held for two weeks between Monday July 23 and Friday August 3.

  • 1st week in Senghenydd at SYDIC Centre, July 23 to 27, 9.45am to 3.45pm.
  • 2nd week in Abertridwr at YMCA, July 30 to August 3, 9.45am to 3.45pm.

Registration is required with forms available from SYDIC. Entry fee is £10 per week

Activities this year include day trips, sports, community activities, First Aid training, healthy cooking, Museum visits, Fire Station visits, Police sessions, water play day, water slides, bike rides, arts and crafts, Oakwood Park trips and much more.

All activities organised and supervised by fully trained and qualified youth workers and volunteers.

The scheme has been funded by :Aber Valley Community Council, Aber Valley Communities First Partnership, Senghenydd Community Centre, S.A.L.T., Festival and Fete Group, Caerphilly County Borough Council and GAVO.
