Trading Standards officers from Caerphilly County Borough Council will be offering free safety checks on child car seats on Friday August 10, 2012.
The checks will be carried out at Tesco, Ystrad Mynach between 9.30am and 4pm. Council staff will also be handing out free child activity packs that include safety information for parents.
Similar events last year found that 72% of seats checked were incorrectly fitted or were unsuitable for either the child or the motor vehicle.
At a recent event this year only 35% of child car seats passed the check with no adjustments.
