A teenager has been handed a 12-month driving ban after he admitted being under the influence f drugs while behind the wheel.
Caleb Roberts, 18, of Twyncarn Road, Crosskeys, was caught driving his Renault Clio on Dan y Rhiw Road, Abercarn, on June 3 this year.
Roberts was banned from driving for a year, fined £100 and ordered to pay prosecution costs of £85 by Caerphilly Magistrates after admitting a charge of drug driving in court on Monday August 13.
He was also ordered to pay a £15 victim surcharge. It was agreed he would pay the total of £200 through instalments of £10 a fortnight.
