Police are appealing for two women seen on CCTV the night a 77-year-old man went missing to come forward.

Trevor Elias from Abertridwr has now been missing for four months.

Police believe the women may have seen him the night he went missing during the early hours of Friday April 6 2012. They were seen walking ahead of him on Commercial Street toward Senghenydd Square at approximately 12.20am.

Mr Elias was reported missing on Saturday April 7. Police had originally stated that Mr Elias was last seen on the Saturday, but now say he was last seen during the early hours of Friday April 6.

Officers know he spent time at the Leigh Club, Senghenydd, between and 11.15pm Thursday and 12.15am Friday April 6 and before that had been at The Buffs Club on Abertridwr Square.

Mr Elias, who is well-known for his unique sense of humour and love of horse racing, is described as being 6ft tall, of very thin build and with brown short hair. He wears glasses.

Since Mr Elias’ disappearance, the community has rallied together with a candlelit vigil and more recently wearing yellow ribbons for him.
