Bargoed youngsters can have their say on community changes

News | Richard Gurner | Published: 15:00, Thursday August 23rd, 2012.

Bargoed’s Neighbourhood Policing Team are inviting youngsters from the town to attend a youth PACT (Partners and Communities Together) meeting this week.

The youth PACT meeting is an opportunity for youngsters to have their say about what they want to see in their area.

It is also an opportunity for youths to voice what they would like to see improved in their community as well as have the opportunity to speak with local councillors, police officers and other teenagers and ultimately make a decision on what they want in Bargoed.

The PACT Meeting will take place on Friday August 24 at the Tir-y-Berth Community Centre, Bargoed, between 1pm and 4pm.

PSCO Chris Hopkin said: “We are always asking the adults of Bargoed what changes they would like to see, now we want to give the youngsters an opportunity to voice their issues and ideas for the future of Bargoed. We want to get the views of the younger people within the community and try and get the young people to identify the problem and form part of the solution, helping us tackle it together.”

If you are unable to make the above PACT meeting you can always contact your neighbourhood policing teams on 02920 857 455 or email bargoed@gwent.pnn.police.uk
