A 47-year-old woman has been handed an 18-month driving ban after being found guilty of drink driving.
Nicola Whitehouse, of Harcourt Place, Rhymney, was breathalysed by police on July 15 2012.
She originally denied the charge of drink driving at a previous hearing and was found guilty when she appeared at Caerphilly Magistrates’ Court on September 21.
Whitehouse was banned from diving for 18 months and was ordered to pay a £450 fine, a £15 victim surcharge and £620 in prosecution costs.
Magistrates said her ban could be reduced by four months if she successfully completes an anti drink drive course within one year.
The court was told that when tested, Whitehouse recorded a reading of 64 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath. The legal limit is 35 microgrammes.
