Police have issued this CCTV picture in connection with a robbery at Ladbrokes in Nelson

Gwent Police is appealing for information following a robbery at Ladbrokes on Commercial Street in Nelson on Friday September 21.

A man entered the betting shop at 9.10pm and threatened staff before demanding money. He left with a quantity of cash, making his way along Commercial Street in the direction of Shingrig Road.

Nobody was injured during the incident.

The robber is described as white, 5ft 9ins, medium build, wearing a black jacket, and a green baseball cap. he had a covering over part of his face and smelt of alcohol.

If anyone can identify the man in the CCTV pictures, or who has any information on the incident, please call 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111.
