A van driver from Graig-Y-Rhacca has been banned from driving after he admitted drink driving.
Gary John Evans, 26, of Sherry Court, was caught driving a transit van, while more than twice over the alcohol limit, at the Chequered Flag petrol station in Trethomas on September 1.
Caerphilly Magistrates’ Court was told on Thursday September 27 that Evans had 73 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath.
He received a 19-month driving ban and was ordered to pay a fine of £110, a victim surcharge of £15 and prosecution costs of £85.
Evans could have his ban cut by four months if he successfully completes a drink drive course.
