Gwent Police is appealing for information after a 34-year-old man was assaulted on Hanbury Road, Bargoed at 2.20am on Sunday October 7.
The victim was walking along the road when he was approached from behind and pushed to the ground. The attacker then ran off. The 34-year-old man suffered a cut to the face and was taken to Prince Charles Hospital for treatment – he has since been released.
Officers are investigating the incident and ask that anyone with information calls 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
