Safer Caerphilly Volunteer Network due to meet in December

News | Richard Gurner | Published: 11:00, Thursday November 15th, 2012.

An organisation aimed at building closer links with the police and the council is due to hold a meeting next month at Caerphilly County Borough Council’s Penallta House offices.

The Safer Caerphilly Volunteer Network, made up with more than 230 members of the community, is a team of dedicated residents who work alongside public bodies such as the police and the council.

The meeting, on Monday December 3 2012, will bring together members of the volunteer network with key local partners to look at ways in which the partnership can improve community safety.

Members will have to opportunity to take part in workshops and work with members of their Neighbourhood Policing Teams, Community Safety Wardens, Caerphilly Youth Forum and Caerphilly County Borough Council staff to address local issues of crime, antisocial behaviour and fear of crime.

  • If you would like to become a member of the Volunteer Network or for details on how you can attend this event, please contact Nadine Hudson-Featherstone on 01495 235350.
