Caerphilly firm Catnic, based on the Pontypandy Industrial Estate, has been nominated for a national marketing award.

The building products firm has been shortlisted for the Canmol: Wales Marketing Awards, organised by the Chartered Institute of Marketing.

Barry Jenkins, Marketing Manager from Catnic based in Caerphilly, said: “Catnic is widely regarded as the World’s leading brand of building products. We have an illustrious trading history scattered with moments of iconic marketing that has seen us generate unrivalled levels of unprompted brand recognition within our market sector.

“Canmol: The Wales Marketing Awards are an excellent opportunity to show-case the marketing talents in Wales boosting both Catnic’s company profile and my own personal profile.

“Being shortlisted for an award is testament to the team that have worked hard to uphold the long tradition of marketing genius that has seen Catnic maintain the status of market leaders for more than 40 years.”

The Canmol awards, which means to praise in Welsh, were created in 2008 to promote excellence in the marketing industry in Wales.

Out of 15 nominees, five final winners will be announced at the awards ceremony at Cardiff’s Park Plaza hotel on Thursday October 15.
