School pupils have chance to £150 vouchers in blog competition

News | Richard Gurner | Published: 17:00, Friday December 7th, 2012.

Secondary school pupils from across Caerphilly County Borough have the chance to win £150 worth of high street vouchers by taking part in a blog competition.

Promising writers in Years 7 to 13 across the county borough can use their talents to win amazing prizes through an interactive website, and this time they can win £150 to spend in a high street store.

The competition is available to pupils on the You Go 4 It website, which allows young people to share their views about school lunches and learn more about nutrition.

Cllr Dave Poole, cabinet member for community and leisure services, said: “The You Go 4 It website encourages the young people in our schools to be more involved and interested in making healthier choices when it comes to meal and snack time.

“The competition is a great idea, and I would encourage all of the pupils in participating schools to take part. They have nothing to lose and perhaps £150 to gain.”

To enter pupils must simply write about a day in their lives in no more than 500 words and then post to www.yougo4it.co.uk by January 27, 2013.
