The price of school meals in Caerphilly County Borough have been frozen for the third year running.
Primary school meals will remain at £1.80 and secondary school meals at £2.05. There has been no increase since 2010.
Cllr Dave Poole, cabinet member for community and leisure services, said: “Agreeing to freeze school meal prices for the third successive year demonstrates our commitment as a council to providing our school pupils with the healthiest start to life.
“Not only are all the meals delicious, nutritious and affordable, we have also become the first local authority in Wales to meet the Welsh Government’s Appetite for Life nutritional standard across all primary and secondary schools which we cater. Parents can be reassured that their children are getting the best possible meals for their money.”
