Environment Agency Wales is advising people in South Wales to be alert for possible localised flooding on Friday.
Strong winds are expected to bring a band of heavy rain to South Wales on Friday. This rain could fall as snow in some places and is anticipated to continue into the night but clearing overnight into Saturday.
This could lead to the possibility of excess water on road surfaces on Friday and flooding from blocked drains and small streams.
River levels could rise and flood alerts may be issued but the likelihood of flooding from larger rivers is low.
Care should be taken as driving conditions may be hazardous.
After a more settled day on Saturday further rain is expected overnight into Sunday.
The Agency is advising people to listen to local weather and traffic reports and updates on the radio or TV, or if able to, view the latest information on the Met Office website.
