The University of Glamorgan is inviting businesses from Caerphilly to take a tour of its state-of-the-art television studios.

Throughout June, business owners will be able to visit the university’s ATRiuM campus at its Cardiff School of Creative and Cultural Industries.

The free, informal, tours are part of the school’s Academia for Business initiative which aims to give Welsh businesses an insight into developments in future media.

The hour-long tours are open to businesses of any kind and can be registered by visiting http://cci.glam.ac.uk/events/2011/jun/06/hdtv-studio-demonstrations/

Creative Industries Development Officer Melanie Hawthorne said: “Whether you’re thinking about producing videos to promote your business, for training purposes or you want to create webcasts, it can pay to do some research before you start filming.

“These tours offer a unique opportunity to ask questions and get hands-on with equipment which would make many TV producers envious.”
