A woman has been left in a critical condition with serious injuries after being hit by a bus.

The 54-year-old local woman was taken to the Heath Hospital in Cardiff following the incident at 2pm on Sunday March 3 on Nantgarw Road, Caerphilly, near to the Texaco garage.

A police spokeswoman said the woman sustained serious injuries and is currently in a critical condition.

She added that inquiries are ongoing into the circumstances of the collision and that there have been no arrests.

Police are specifically appealing for any motorists who witnessed the collision to contact them on 101

  • An earlier version of this story, published on Sunday, incorrectly stated that the woman was taken to the Royal Gwent Hospital and that the woman was in her 60s.

The Shop on Nantgawr Road has double yellow lines outside it BUT people always park there making it very dangerous ,Why don't the police stop people parking there? I've seen many many times people causing a dangerous situation.
