Brantano Staff in Blackwood will be raising money for Macmillan Cancer Support in a series of store-based events.

On Thursday March 21 they will be holding a ladies’ night in the branch from 12noon until 8pm with pampering and refreshments for all customers.

The store will also have a selection of exhibitors including Leigh Gameson, a local medium who will be in attendance from 10am to 3pm (booking required through the store).

The staff will also be getting involved by holding their very own sponsored wigs and wiggle during the day. All members will be wearing wacky wigs and very high heels and raising lots of money and awareness for Macmillan.

A Brantano spokesperson said: “We are happy and proud to support a charity that provides so much help and comfort to those people affected by this illness.

“We are really looking forward to our wigs and wiggle fundraising and our Ladies Night so pop along and help us raise money for Macmillan.”

Rebecca Parke, fundraising manager with Macmillan, said: “We want to say a huge thank you to the team in the store for choosing to raise money for Macmillan Cancer Support. I want to wish them all good luck with their ‘wigs and wiggles’ fundraising event.

“Macmillan is almost entirely funded by donations so the generosity of the staff and the customers of Brantano, Blackwood really does make a huge difference to the lives of local people affected by cancer.”
