Lloyd Daniels, 16, from Treharris, is hoping to go all the way in TV's X-Factor.

A former Lewis School pupil has made it through to the next round of TV talent show X-Factor.

Lloyd Daniels, 16, from Treharris impressed show judge Cheryl Cole and singer Will Young, who was acting as a mentor on the show.

Cheryl declared: “Every age group is going to love Lloyd.”

On Sunday night millions watched the singer make it through to the live show stage of the competition, which starts next week.

It might all have been different for the Treharris teen after nerves got the better of him at his first audition.

He eventually composed himself to secure a place in the competition’s boot camp.
