A new community market is being held for the first time this Sunday at Bedwas Workmen’s Hall.
The event follows the success of similar local farmers markets in Machen, Rudry and Caerphilly town.
Organisers are expecting around 25 stalls covering an array of local produce and products including textiles, glass, blankets, paintings, honey, eggs, cakes and pastries.
The talents of local artists and designers will also be proudly on display.
Caerphilly MP Wayne David will officially open the market at 11am and promotion-winning Newport County captain David Pipe will also be there.
The market takes place on Sunday May 19 between 11am and 3pm.
It is hoped the market will become a regular event. Organisers are hoping to run a second market in August and would love to hear from local producers particularly fruit and veg, eggs and meat producers.
And it was a tremendous event too!
