Residents will have a chance to talk face-to-face with bus services providers at two events next month.
The ‘Your Bus Matters’ events have been arranged by passenger group Bus Users UK and Caerphilly County Borough Council.
They will take place in Blackwood and Caerphilly. Staff from Stagecoach in South Wales and the council will be on hand to answer questions or discuss concerns or suggestions.
The first event will be on Tuesday June 11 at Blackwood Interchange and on Thursday June 13 at Caerphilly Visitor Centre. Both events will run between 10am and 2pm.
Barclay Davies, from Bus Users UK, said: “It is often difficult for bus users to understand the actions of commercial bus operators and difficult for bus operators to fully understand the needs of users.
“People often don’t know who is responsible for providing bus services in their area or who they should contact when things go wrong. I hope that as many people as possible will come and talk to us.”
It seems like a pointless exercise. The public go and ask questions, the staff and the council give ambiguous answers and fob the public off. No one is wiser after the event so the whole thing has been a massive waste of money.
I concour with the above writers comments. At Caerphilly, the 'representatives' bussed off 2 hours before the advertised closing time. What's the point of having a timetable if they cann't stick to it.
