A Caerphilly boy has admitted the rape an eight-year-old girl while he was on bail for another sexual offence against a 15-year-old.

The boy, who cannot be identified for legal reasons, was 14 at the time of the attack.

Cardiff Crown Court was told he attacked the eight-year-old at a park.

The girl later told her mother that the boy, now 16, had done “rude stuff” and that if she told he would kill her.

The court heard the boy, who has been detained after admitting charges of rape and sexual assault, had carried out another sexual attacked a 15-year-old girl from his school weeks before.

The court was told the boy suffers from attention deficit hyperactivity disorder and had been detained under the mental health act.

He was given a sexual offences prevention order and will not be released until after a review by the Ministry of Justice.

Judge Philip Richards told him: “What you did to those two innocent girls was truly dreadful.

“I have no idea if they will ever get over it.”
