Police appeal for information after driver asks boys to get in car in Blackwood

Police want to trace and speak to the driver of a blue VW Transit type van who stopped and asked two boys to get in at around 8.50am yesterday morning on Highfields Way, Blackwood.

The boys aged 10 and 11 did not get in and reported the matter to teachers.

Police are reminding parents to be aware of where their children are and also speaking to their children and reminding them of the dangers of talking to strangers.

Anyone with any information is asked to ring 101 quoting log 96 01/07/13
