On Wednesday September 18, as part of Tidy Wales Week, Caerphilly residents are being urged to volunteer for a litter pick.
To join the tidy up session around the community allotments and pond at Morgan Jones Park, people should meet outside the Grounds Office at Morgan Jones Park, Caerphilly from between 10am and 3pm where gloves, bags and litter pickers will be provided.
Last year more than 10,000 people of all ages throughout Wales did their bit to clean up their neighbourhoods as part of Tidy Wales Week.
Cllr David Poole, Cabinet Member for Community and Leisure Services said: “Caerphilly is such a beautiful county but unfortunately we still have problems with littering. Tidy Wales Week is a reminder that we can all do our bit to help change this. I’d like to encourage residents who can spare a couple of hours to help make our local area a nicer place to live.”

Unfortunatley we still have uncaring, slobby, lowlife scum in Caerphilly who litter and don't bother using the bins.
Why not volunteer to come along and join in. The part we'll be cleaning up is not a specific problem area but its important the park is kept as clean as possible. Morgan Jones Park is the envy of many and I hope the community come together to make it even better.

I will not spend my Saturday volunteering to pick up litter from the ground. My bit is paying council tax to fund those litter pickers who get paid to do it.

Get the Chief Executive and his Deputy to join in as they are suspended on full pay allegedly. Get them to give something back to the community instead of taking it from them!
