The family of an 18-year-old killed in a road traffic collision have paid tribute to him.
Gerwyn Allan Osborne-Flanagan, from Cefn Hengoed, was hit by a car and killed on Hengoed Crescent, in Cefn Hengoed, on Saturday September 28.
His family released the following tribute: “Gerwyn was one in a million, irreplaceable and his mum and dad are so proud of him. All his family and friends are completely heartbroken by this tragedy and will miss him greatly. At this time the family would like time and space to grieve.”
A 29-year-old Cefn Hengoed man was arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving and has been released on police bail pending further inquiries.
Police are appealing for information following the fatal incident which happened at around 12.55pm.
Officers investigating the incident are appealing for anyone who witnessed the collision, or anyone who may have seen a black BMW Compact being driven in and around the area at that time to contact them on 101 and quote log number 263 28/9/13.
