A craft auction held to raise money for the Eisteddfod yr Urdd, which is coming to Caerphilly in 2015, has raised £3,000.
Helen Greenwood, a development officer with Urdd Gobaith Cymru, said: “There were over 120 items donated for the auction to raise money for the Urdd National Eisteddfod in Llancaiach Fawr, Caerphilly in 2015.
“Inspite of the terrible weather over 60 people attended and the Committee raised over £3,000. There are still many items left so the auction is continuing online.
“We would like to say a special thanks to everyone who worked hard over the last few months to organise the auction and many thanks to those who came out to support the event.
“Thanks in particular to Danny Grehan and Dan Phillips for being brilliant auctioneers.”
The auction continues online until 12pm on Friday December 6.

On November 30 a Christmas shopping trip to Bath has been arranged as part of the fundraising activities. On November 18, there is also a curry night at Sam’s Brasserie in Blackwood.
