A 72-year-old woman was killed in a road traffic collision in Rhymney.
The local woman was walking down Moriah Street when she was hit by a vehicle on Friday November 29.
Gwent Police, South Wales Fire and Rescue, the air ambulance were called at 3.09pm, but the woman was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver of the vehicle, a 77-year-old local man who was uninjured, has been arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving.
