Budding entrepreneurs at St Martin’s School in Caerphilly have been getting a taste for business with the Young Enterprise scheme.

Year 10 students have been receiving help, guidance and sponsorship from training company JanRo, based in Aberdare.
The business studies students have set up a company to sell tie-dye clothing.

Ruth Allen, JanRo’s Business Development Manager, has been mentoring the students and the company has also contributed to the cost of entering the Young Enterprise Scheme.

Teacher Karen Joyce thanked JanRo for its support and said: “Within the scheme, the pupils will get practical experience of the joys and pitfalls of creating a truly functioning enterprise.”
