A mystery Lotto jackpot winner, known only as Ms T from the Caerphilly County Borough area, has banked a giant Lotto prize without ever touching a ticket.

The lucky lady matched all six main numbers in the Lotto draw on Wednesday December 4 and took home £1,514,204.

Ms T was playing Lotto online at National-Lottery.co.uk.

Interactive winners have the opportunity to release their name, remain anonymous or like this winner, release some details through partial publicity.

A National Lottery spokesperson said: “Huge congratulations to Ms T on winning this fantastic prize without even touching a ticket. With many people leading busy lives playing online is becoming increasingly popular, as through a few simple clicks players can make sure that they don’t miss out.”

The win for the mystery player comes almost a month after a Hengoed woman won the jackpot on a scratchcard.

Mother-of-three Katie Smythe, 24, scooped a £1 million prize with a Lottery scratchcard – but almost threw it in the bin.

She had bought the ticket and only realised she had won the top prize when her friend noticed she had the winning number.
