A Caerphilly town sports therapist is heading to this year’s Commonwealth Games.

Siân Patterson, owner of Peak Performance Sports Therapy, on Cardiff Road, has been selected to join the support team for the event in July 2014 and will be heading up to Glasgow.

Siân, who studied sports therapy and graduated from Edge Hill University this year, said: “This is a real honour and a fantastic opportunity for me to work with other experts in her field of sport therapy.

“I’m really looking forward to using my skills on some of the best-known athletes in the Commonwealth.”

Peak Performance Sport Therapy has already supported many regional sport events throughout the country.

Peak Performance Sport Therapy opened its clinic doors in September last year and already has a growing list of local clubs and individual patients.

Siân explained that sports therapy and massage is recommended for everyone, not just athletes.

She added: “From nagging pains to sport injuries, we will listen to you in our consulting rooms or your home if you prefer and agree a recovery plan with you.”
