Four arrested on suspicion of Trinant murder remain in custody

Four people arrested on suspicion of murdering a 27-year-old man in Trinant remain in police custody.

Gwent Police has released this picture of victim Ian Davies, who was killed following an assault in Marshfield Road Trinant at around 7.30pm on January 11.

Mr Davies suffered a wound to his torso and was taken to the Royal Gwent Hospital where he later died.

Four people, two men both aged 26 and two women aged 30 and 22- all from the local area have been arrested on suspicion of murder and are currently in custody.

Police are appealing for anyone with information about the incident or who was in the local area at the time to get in touch on 101 quoting log number 348 11/1/14.
