A mobile laboratory stopped off at Cwmcarn High School last week to help inspire pupils on the wonders of science.

‘Lab in a Lorry’ gives 11 to 14-year-olds the opportunity to explore science through specially created interactive experiments.

Two 44ft lorries have been fitted with three labs, allowing young people to take part in experimental science and think about the surprises and questions that arise.

Claire Bowen, a Biology teacher at Cwmcarn said: “Rather than a normal lesson in the science labs, the Lab in a Lorry allows pupils to try different equipment and experience a more interactive style of learning from expert mentors.”

‘Lab in a Lorry’ in Wales is a partnership between the Institute of Physics and the Welsh Government.

What?!? Looking at that picture and reading about the lorry on Google, I had that equipment in my school science lab. What the hell are the schools wasting money on to be unable to have a decent lab?

If the WA didn't promote the Welsh language so much, more money could be spent on school science lessons.
