Bedwas man forced to postpone charity walk for Velindre Cancer Centre

News | Gareth Hill | Published: 17:00, Friday March 14th, 2014.

A Bedwas man has had to postpone his 7,000 mile charity walk.

Gareth Axenderrie, 21, had been due to set off on his coastal walk of the UK on March 1, but ill health has meant he has had to delay.

It is the second time Gareth has had to push back the start date following advice from doctors.

Gareth said: “I am gutted I have had to postpone a second time.

“Until test results come back, I will be unable to commit to a new date.”

Gareth, who has already raised £2,000, will eventually be walking the route in aid of Velindre.
