Two schools have been praised for the quality of their PE lessons.
Lewis Girls’ School, in Hengoed, and Risca Comprehensive School have been recognised by Sport Wales and the Association for Physical Education (afPE) as part of the ActiveMark Cymru Award.
ActiveMark Cymru endorses schools committed to developing high quality physical education and school sport and for promoting the benefits of physical activity.
Elizabeth Philips, acting headteacher at Lewis Girls said: “The impact on the young people in our school has been really positive.”
