Rogue traders operating in Pontllanfraith

News | | Published: 16:42, Thursday April 17th, 2014.

Police are urging people to be on the lookout for two rogue traders who conned an elderly gentlemen suffering with dementia out of £400.

On Monday April 14 the men visited the gentleman’s home in Chestnut Close, Pontllanfraith. They charged him £400 to jet wash his drive and pathway.

They were travelling in a white van with the words “Alpin Construction” on the side.

The first man was 6ft tall, aged 45 years, with blonde hair with a distinct curl. He was wearing a green and yellow rugby top.

The second rogue trader was 5ft 10in tall, aged between 20 and 25-years-old with dark short cropped hair.

Caerphilly County Borough Council Trading Standards Officers are now investigating.
