Volunteers raising funds to help turn the former Caerphilly Miners’ Hospital into a community centre collected almost £330 bag-packing at Tesco.
Twelve volunteers packed shoppers’ bags for four hours at Tesco Crossways, in Caerphilly town, on March 29 and raised £328.39.
The money raised will be put towards refurbishing the music room at the former hospital’s Beeches building.
Volunteer Lauren Cripps said: “The amounts we raise make it worthwhile, one step closer to our brand new music room.”
