News | | Published: 15:00, Monday April 21st, 2014.

Caerphilly’s new £5 million library has held its first Easter event.

Visitors to the town centre building were entertained with Easter stories, Easter activities and an Easter bonnet parade on Thursday April 17.

Children and adults wore amazing creations consisting of fluffy bunnies and chirpy chicks, eggs and farm animals.

The Easter bonnet parade took place and the “best bonnet” competition was judged by Ruth Betty, Customer First and Yvonne Harris, Libraries Area Manager.

There were dinosaur hats, Easter crowns, bonnets and other creations.

The winners were William Owen and Isobelle Lloyd-Grayson, closely followed by runners-up Archie Morgan and Ffion Marks.
