A 24-year-old man has been jailed for two years after he violently attacked a woman in Pontllanfraith.

Liam Meader was convicted of Actual Bodily Harm for punching his victim several times in the face, leaving her with cuts and bruises.

The woman was walking along the lane between Gelli Groes Road and Overdene when Meader attacked her in May last year.
