A 24-year-old man is in  a serious but stable condition after a triple stabbing last night.

The man was stabbed in the back and torso during an attack by three men.

The men are believed to have broken into a property in Snowden Court, Lansbury Park, Caerphilly and attacked those inside.

A 23-year-old man was stabbed in the back and arm and a woman of the same age was stabbed in the arm.

They were all taken to the University of Wales Hospital Cardiff, where the 24-year-old man remains.

The two other victims have been discharged.

Neighbours said the victims were from the same family and the attack happened between 8.30pm and 9pm last night.

Gwent Police said they were called to the home at 9pm and believe the suspects fled in a dark car with tinted windows.

Anyone with any information about the incident is asked to ring 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111 quoting log 453 30/04/14.

Doesn’t surprise me. I used to live in Lansbury and it’s really shady. Glad I moved.

You don’t see this happen in the Gurnos? HAA! You’ve obviously never lived in or near there then! In 11 years of living there believe me there were countless stabbings and more than a few murders. Doesn’t change the fact the vast majority of the residents were absolutely lovely, normal, law abiding people though, same as everywhere else

People who don`t live in Lansbury Park will judge those who do by their actions, and, commentators should be cautious with their comments and their attitude and the words and expressions they use on sites like this one, that is why they fail to declare their true identities, you are equally responsible for the unjustified bad name Lansbury has and will continue to have unless you tone your remarks, punching air wont do any good note will slagging each other off.

I know how to deal with this…

    1. Find the three attacker and give them 99 years solitary confinement being fed with only bread and water.

    2. Hang them. It clearly wasn’t self-defence.

Don’t fool yourself. Lansbury is a dump comprised of chavs, benefit cheats, criminals and people who don’t care . We should put a fence around the estate (think The Simpsons Movie) There may be a handful of people who are exception but they are looking to move. Other estates in Caerphilly are similar.

That generalisation of residents of Lansbury Park is out of order. Yes,there are some of those types of people BUT not all of us are.

The real problem when this sort of thing happens is that the police then divert officers to deal with it from other communities in and around Caerphilly.

This is resented and gives the impression that all other communities are paying for the criminal activity on and in this estate.

The Police must put a few of the Community support Officers who appear to spend more time hanging about the Police Office in Market Street, out on the beat on the estate, And, when they are walking the beat, spend sometime speaking to the residents. It maybe they would gather intelligence which may give the police early warning of something `brewing`.Dean is right, Lansbury is currently seen as a dump,.i.e. Caerphilly council`s housing policy `dumps` tenants on the estate without a proper strategy to intergrate good and not so good and follow it up with proper support for the less able tenants to behave themselves.

This was quite obviously not a random attack, the three that were attacked have most likely upset somebody and that somebody has dished out their own justice rather than informing the police who would have done little or nothing about it – this will happen more often because the law in this country is pretty poor, i myself was burgled by one of Caerphilly’s lowlife druggies who caused over £2500 worth of damage to my property , his punishment – 8 weeks in jail. I hope he was one of those who was attacked because this is what they deserve, and they also should certainly not be housed by the council next to other decent honest people.

Correct it was not a random attack, but three people were attacked, I’m sorry that you have had your troubles but a stabbing is no reason to gloat at the misfortune of these people, unless you have proof that these ” VICTIMS ” have wronged you in some way. I cannot understand why you think they deserved what they got. They could have very well been attacked simply because they did inform the police of something. Whatever it is ” NO ONE HAS THE RIGHT TO ENFORCE THERE OWN FORM OF JUSTICE ON ANYONE” because if we start down that road only anarchy lies ahead and people with the most to lose will be the first VICTIMS of that.

There is good and bad everywhere. Those who want to live in peace will do so,those that want to cause misery will continue to do so until the Council and/or the Police kick them off the estate.

I currently live in Lansbury Park, I have to say that the increasing amount of antisocial behaviour and drug dealing from SOME of it’s residents has reached epidemic proportions in certain areas. Many instances go unreported or if they are, do not get followed up due to lack of evidence or the dreaded wall of silence because no one wants to be seen as a grass and the repercussion that goes with it. There are good people living on Lansbury, but many are tired of what is going on and moving away. Last year there was a so called “FAD” of throwing mud at homes with tubing. Any one who cares to walk to the council offices in Lansbury can still see the mud spatters all over the walls and windows of the affected homes. Just a small insight to the mentality of some of the youth. The fact that this is the second stabbing in 18 months on Lansbury that I know of, motor cycles and quad bikes ridden on pavements at high speed, 10yr olds out drinking with older youths and causing mayhem. It does seem to me that the lunatics are definitely taking over this asylum.

I’ve been called a grass for having the bollocks to stand up and speak to the Police and the Council about drug dealing in my block of flats. And you know what-I would do it again if I had to.
