An elderly woman has died following a house fire in Pontllanfraith.
Three crews were called to the blaze at the home in Pontllanfraith at about 2pm on Tuesday.
South Wales Fire and Rescue Service said the woman was rescued by firefighters, but later died.
An investigation into the cause of the fire will begin this morning.
