Caerphilly fire crew tackle car blaze

Firefighters tackled a car fire close to Pwllypant Roundabout and the Cedar Tree carvery in Caerphilly.

A crew from Caerphilly Fire Station was at the scene just after 1.50pm today, June 24, and put the fire out in under 20 minutes.

Crews from Caerphilly have attended a car fire nr the Cedar Tree. The vehicle will remain in the bus stop until recovery. #SWControl BW

A South Wales Fire and Rescue Service spokesman said the fire was accidental and there were no casualties.

    Very lucky there was no World Cup on at that time.
