Entrants wanted for Canmol marketing awards

Business, News | | Published: 12:00, Friday July 25th, 2014.

The Chartered Institute of Marketing is seeking entries for its national Canmol Awards.

Prizes are on offer for companies and public sector participants who have achieved outstanding business results over the year through innovative marketing campaigns.

Richard Houdmont, CIM’s Director for Wales, said: “Canmol: Wales Marketing Awards celebrate the most innovative, eye-catching and ultimately most successful marketing campaigns implemented in Wales over the last year.”

Canmol, meaning ‘to praise’ in Welsh, will be judged by Dr Jonathan Deacon, of the University of South Wales and member of the CIM Board of Trustees.

The idea is to encourage companies to follow the lead set by Bedwas based Peter’s Pies’ successful Luv Wales Luv Peter’s campaign.

The campaign saw brand awareness in Wales growing by 10%.

Entries must be submitted by July 31 at canmol.com with winners announced at a glittering awards dinner, to be held at St David’s Hotel and Spa in Cardiff on October 10.
