Blackwood firm sponsor Commonwealth Games boxing hopeful Kody Davies

Blackwood firm Clear Sky Recruitment has announced a sponsorship deal with local boxer and Commonwealth Games medal hopeful Kody Davies.

Davies, 19, won the senior Welsh amateur boxing title this year and has won British titles at schoolboy, junior and youth level. Now the heavyweight fighter is stepping up to his first senior international competition and is confident of competing with the top boxers in the world.

Ross Porter, Managing Director of Clear Sky Recruitment, said: “Kody is a young and upcoming talented Welsh boxer who I think has the potential to go all the way and I am sure that he will make even more of a name for himself in the forthcoming games. I sincerely hope that more local businesses get in his corner and help this young man achieve his dream of becoming World Champion.”

Blackwood firm Advanced Mototec are also sponsors of the local fighter who begins his Commonwealth Games Campaign tonight, July 25, in the 91kg category.

Kody Said: “I am very grateful for the support I have received from local businesses such as Clear Sky Recruitment and I am looking forward to representing Wales this month.”
