A Caerphilly-based day spa and hair salon is riding high after winning the inaugural Welsh Hair and Beauty Awards.

The team from Captiva Spa, picked up the Best Spa in Wales award at the prestigious event, held on July 13, at Cardiff City Stadium.

The spa was chosen by a panel of industry experts after customer nominations.

Managing Director Sarah Bruton said: “We were delighted to have been nominated in such an impressive field, but to win it is unbelievable. We are a small, local business in what is still a difficult economy. Making our mark on a national scale is huge boost for us.

“The fact that our clients, with their votes, nominations and support, got us to the stage is amazing.
“We are truly grateful – and think they are the best clients in the business.”
