No further action will be taken against a teenager arrested on suspicion of conspiring to kill her teacher at Cwmcarn High School.
The 15-year-old from Risca was arrested after alleged plans to kill maths teacher Alison Cray emerged in the wake of the fatal stabbing of teacher Ann Maguire in Leeds. She was 14 at the time.
A Gwent Police spokesperson said the Crown Prosecution Service advised them not to carry out further action but a 15-year-old from Newbridge has had her police bail extended until September 19.
The girl was arrested on suspicion of threats to kill, possession of a bladed article on a school premises and conspiracy to commit murder.
Both girls were excluded from the school after they were arrested on May 1 this year.
