Caerphilly RFC produced a solid pre-season ahead of their opening SWALEC Division 2 East opener against Brynmawr at Virginia Park on September 6.
They beat Machen 17-14 at home on August 16 before beating Abercwmboi 5-12 away the following week.
Caerphilly then suffered a narrow defeat to Builth Wells, a team two divisions higher, ending the pre-season with a stern test and worthy performance.
Kick of against Brynmawr is at 2.30pm while the second team face Tylorstown in their first competitive match of the season.
The youth face RTB Ebbw Vale at home with a 2pm kick-off.
