A mother who had her baby son born prematurely at 24 weeks has raised around £2,000 for the neonatal unit which helped her little boy survive.

Olly Fowler was at University Hospital Wales in Cardiff for two and half months as he battled successfully to live.
Mum Zoe Fowler, who works at Britannia Day Nursery in Caerphilly, wanted to thank the unit for its help and has raised almost £2,000 through a series of charitable events.

Her employers helped out with the fundraising by holding a special fancy dress day for their children and asking parents to donate. The event raised £150 for Zoe’s appeal.

Olly, now aged seven months, is doing well and is due to come off oxygen treatment soon.
