A group of children taking part in a disability and inclusion summer scheme with Sport Caerphilly recently visited the home of Cardiff City for a tour and to experience the excitement of the stadium.

Every year, Sport Caerphilly runs a Disability Sport Scheme which gives children with various disabilities the chance to try a number of sports, learn new skills and make new friends. This year the children have taken part in lots of new sports and outdoor activities including canoeing, surfing, rock climbing, orienteering and archery.

During the last week of the programme the children were invited for an inspirational visit to the Cardiff City Stadium, where they were shown around the changing rooms and the player’s pitch side area.

Richard Archer, Social Inclusion Manager for Cardiff City Community and Education Foundation, said: “Cardiff City Foundation are very pleased to have established a trusting partnership with Sport Caerphilly over the past two years.”
