Gwent Police released CCTV images of the incident on September 23

Gwent Police is appealing for information after an attempted burglary in Risca caused damage to a property on Pontymister Industrial Estate.

MS Motor Services was targeted on Monday September 23 between 4.50am and 5.20am by a man driving a white Ford Transit van.

The van had a window in the sliding door and the man was described as being white, of average build and height and he was wearing a dark coloured beanie hat and a blue body warmer.

He had three dogs with him, two Huskies, one with dark fur and one with light fur, and one Alsatian or German Shepherd.

Gwent Police has released CCTV footage of the incident in an attempt to identify the offender, who did not get into the property but caused damage to the doors.

Anyone with any information is asked to call Gwent Police on 101 quoting log number 305 23/09/14.
